What's a mini?
A mini session is just what it sounds like - less time, less cost, less photos than a normal session!
Minis are not available year-round. They are special occasion shoots, often with a set or props in one specific location. The photographer stays there taking photos for a couple of hours, and the you as the client sign up for time slots based on what works for your particular schedule that day.
How do I sign up?
You'll sign up through the link on this page. It'll allow you to choose an open time slot. Then I'll contact you to pay the session fee and sign the contract!
What happens if I'm late?
Make every effort to NOT arrive late to your session! I understand that race-out-the-door, kids aren't ready, can't find my keys kind of feel...but due to the nature of a mini session, we cannot start late. Your session lasts for 15 minutes, I have 5 minutes to clean up for the next client after you leave, and then I'm on to the next group. If I'm renting out a studio, I pay for the time I'm there, and someone else may be renting it out after I'm done, so I cannot add extra time onto the end either. If you arrive five minutes late, we get ten minutes to shoot...no guarantees on the number of photos, but I'll do my best with the time I'm given.
COVID?!
In the interest of everyone's health and safety, I'll be Lysol spraying the sets in between sessions and wiping down high-touch surfaces with disinfectant. You will be required to wait outside the studio for your timeslot, and must wear a mask (except for during your photos, of course!) I will be leaving the door propped open to maximize airflow through the studio, I will wear my mask the whole time (and am vaccinated as well), and we'll maintain as much distance as possible. If you feel sick before your session, please notify me so we can discuss.
Why $250?! It's only 15 minutes!
This pricing is set up to cover my cost of doing business. Minis involve renting space and props, and I get to the space early to set up, stay late to tear down, and spend time taking and editing the photos. This is a great deal if you don't want to pay a full session price but need some new photos! I've found that when I get a full session done of my family, I have my favorite few photos anyway...I didn't need much more than 20, but it's always nice to have the option!
